Paul McCartney has taken some tips from younger artists, using visual iconography on social media to tease an upcoming project and from all the clues it looks like a McCartney III album is on its way.

McCartney III follows McCartney II which was released in 1980. McCartney II was the follow-up to McCartney, his first post-Beatles solo project which was released in 1970.

The albums were spaced 10 years apart and they were solo projects, with no other musicians involved.

McCartney has been posting photos to social media with triplicates of various items including flowers, mushrooms, and a single rose. The hints actually started earlier when Spotify users noticed that when they played tracks from the previous self-titled albums, a dice animated with three dots would appear.

McCartney III is rumored to have a December 11 release date, although the singer is yet to confirm this.
