The pressure from our dog sitting on top of the couch tore the corner up. It’s connected to the couch so we can’t just take it to get repaired and sewing hasn’t worked in the past. Any ideas?

Does anyone know how to get this lid off? I’m trying to open my paint, but there’s no instructions on the can. I’ve tried pliers, screwdrivers, and twisting/pulling the lid every way I can think of. It’s a plastic lid so a can opener won’t work. Thanks!
